You can breathe easy, Albuquerque

May 1, 2007

The Good News: According the the American Lung Association, we have some of the cleanest air in the nation. Albuquerque ranked 10th in the ALA annual list of metro areas will the least amount of ‘soot.’

The Bad News: Santa Fe-Espanola and Farmington beat us! SF-E came in 2nd, and Farm-town came in at 5th.

Out of the top ten ‘cleanest’ air cities, only Honolulu has a larger population. So, good for you Albuquerque. Who knows, maybe with the new public smoking ban we’ll move up in the ranks. It could happen, right?
